Back to School Bash 2026 date coming soon!
In 2009 we started a local community back to school event. We partnered with Morris Chapel UMC, Dorchester County Sheriff Department, Dorchester County Fire Department, DD4, small business owners and community leaders.
At the back-to-school event we provided FREE: back packs filled with school supplies, food, horseback riding, boys haircuts, and hairstyle coupons for the girls. We also had demonstrations from the Sheriff’s Department for public safety, Fire Department for fire safety, Dental Hygiene instructions from Dental Assistants. In 2009 we had about 40 kids in attendance, by 2012 we had over 400 kids. In 2014 we partnered with TBOV (Taking Back Our Village Advisory Council) for the inaugural Cops and Kids Back To School Bash and have served as a sustaining sponsor since that time.
We will continue to partner with TBOV but will restart the Dorchester Back To School Event in Dorchester, SC
