About Us
P. Saxmore Foundation is a non-profit organization that was established in February 2023, in Dorchester SC. Dorchester’s Town motto is “We are a small town with a big heart”. Like our town we are “small with a big heart“. We believe we can take the noble challenge to give everyone a chance at a fresh and healthy lifestyle by providing direct access to fresh fruits and vegetables, education, and opportunities. Before the organization was established, we were serving the local schools and community for over 15 years by providing:
* Free meals and fresh produce to support local schools & communities’ programs and events.
* Free backpacks & school supplies through our Dorchester Back to School Event.
* Free dental demonstrations and hygiene kits.
Going forward, we will start a local farmers market to give the rural area community access to fresh fruits and vegetables. We will also start a Give Fresh Program where we will deliver fresh produce to senior citizens for free. We will continue our Back 2 School Event to help better prepare the students for the school year. We will also start our Healthy Smiles program to ensure kids in the rural area know how to properly take care of their teeth.
Our ultimate goal is to raise enough funds to build a community center where we can provide multiple services to help the community prosper.
